David Decker

Major: Electrical Engineering
Ocean Point Volleyball Club is excited to welcome David Decker to its coaching staff. A two-time NCAA National Champion and one of the nation’s top opposite hitters, David brings championship experience, elite offensive skills, and a passion for developing young athletes.
David played for the UCLA Bruins, helping lead the program to back-to-back NCAA National Championships in 2023 and 2024. During his career, he developed into one of the country’s most dangerous attackers and servers, earning AVCA Honorable Mention All-America and Second Team All-MPSF honors.
In 2026, David posted career highs in kills, hitting percentage, digs, and service aces. He ranked among the nation’s leaders in aces and became one of UCLA’s most dependable six-rotation players, combining powerful offense with strong all-around play.
Prior to UCLA, David was a standout at Cardinal Gibbons High School in Florida, where he earned First Team All-Broward County honors and established himself as one of the top recruits in the country.
At Ocean Point, Coach David shares the championship standards that helped UCLA win multiple national titles. His energy, competitive spirit, and commitment to excellence help athletes grow as hitters, servers, teammates, and leaders. We’re thrilled to have him helping develop the next generation of champions.
