Ocean Point Volleyball Club is proud to welcome Grant Sloane to its coaching staff. A standout athlete, accomplished collegiate player, and committed mentor, Grant brings elite-level experience and a passion for player development to the Ocean Point gym.

Grant is a veteran of the UCLA men’s volleyball program, where he made a name for himself as a dynamic opposite hitter and consistent contributor. In 2024, he appeared in 25 matches with 13 starts and earned Second-Team All-MPSF honors. He recorded five double-digit kill performances, including a season-high 16 kills in a win over Long Beach State, and hit over .400 in nine matches. He was also a force at the service line and net, recording multiple aces in five matches and multiple blocks in 11 contests.

In 2023, Grant saw action in 16 matches with 4 starts, notching a season-high 11 kills and 12 digs in a win over UCSB. In 2022, he earned a spot on the MPSF All-Freshman Team and tallied 16 kills in a standout match at UC Irvine. Grant debuted at UCLA with 10 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 aces against CSUN. His high school and club credentials include honors such as a top-five ranking on VolleyballMag.com’s “25 Underclassmen to Watch” and selections to the USA Volleyball Beach National Team and SCVA High Performance programs. He also represented the United States at the Pan Am Cup in the Dominican Republic, helping secure a bronze medal with 9 kills in the medal match.

Grant played professional volleyball in Portugal and brings his international experience to Ocean Point.

Off the court, Grant was raised in a volleyball family and continues to follow in those footsteps with a commitment to excellence, leadership, and mentorship. He’s been recognized on UCLA’s Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and is known for his high volleyball IQ and work ethic.
