Miles Partain
Training Coach

Ocean Point Volleyball Club is proud to welcome Miles Partain, 2024 Olympian, AVP Champion, and longtime friend and teammate of Club Director Alex Knight, to our coaching staff for additional training.
Currently ranked the #1 beach volleyball player in the U.S., Miles competes on the AVP and FIVB World Tours alongside partner Andy Benesh, with whom he represented Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Known for his intelligence, calm demeanor under pressure, and creative style of play, Miles is one of the most exciting young talents in the sport.
His volleyball journey began at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades. At just 13, he met Alex Knight on the beach in Santa Monica, an encounter that sparked a playing partnership and lasting friendship. Together, they won the USA Junior National Beach Championship (16U) and played for Pac6 Volleyball Club before becoming teammates at UCLA.
At Palisades High School, Miles won three CIF titles, then starred at UCLA, earning All-American and Conference Player of the Year honors. In 2023, he went to pursue Olympic qualification, capturing gold at the FIVB Elite 16 Gstaad after defeating the reigning Olympic champions.
Miles brings elite experience, passion, and a deep love for the game. His coaching reflects the Ocean Point values of excellence, joy, and creativity—right where his journey began.
